Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme in France, was born on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey is the eldest child out of 4. Her parents, a dentist as well as a teacher recognized and backed her love for theater and acting as early as she was a child. This overcame her initial ambition to be a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. Her meteoric rise as an actress in her early years was swift and marked by early success. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in an French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning the journey to become an actor. Tautou, who attended her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and studied there at the age of a child she has since renounced her Catholic upbringing. She now declares herself to be non-Catholic. Alongside her acting profession, she has is also pursuing modelling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". Photography is another passion and she recently exhibited her work at the Arles festival under the name Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on fame and celebrity and focuses the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her when she exploded to stardom with Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's very first major performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's leading actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, brought her fame to the world. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and won awards around the globe. Amelie was the highest-rated french-language film to hit the US. Following this film, Tautou appeared in many films that ranged from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de Faancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
