April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th July. She began guitar and piano classes at age seven. Her passion for making music was ignited. At the age of 12 April wrote her first tune Different. The year she turned 14 was when she was a huge devotee of time composing song ideas and practicing her music. Soon after she began taking trips to write with her father in NY in New York and LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for her pals who were struggling in the face of peer pressure, disability or suicide. Lockhart is a fashion and lifestyle blogger with a growing number of followers. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia through a collaboration, and is also a specialist in lifestyle. She was born without her hand on her left side and it's one aspect of who she is, but it's hardly her whole story. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability in her Instagram profile, but she doesn't put it at the center of it. The point? The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our bodies and identities do not reflect all appear. Lockhart with a short video message from Nashville's home, declares that I do not intend to allow this to be a part of me. I'm greater than the physical person I am. My daily way of life. I run the same way as I always do and have come up with my own methods to adjust. It's an integral element of my life and it's imperative to discuss it. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken will be one that lasts many years, yet she is an inspiration in this regard. Still, she admits going through a series of phases with regards to her body and feeling uncomfortable in certain clothing which exposed her arms. Today, she wears anything she likes and uploads images of her outfits to the internet with a sense of pride. Self-love, she says is a process. I'm not certain if it will ever be over. The same is true for everybody regardless of degree of self-confidence. I think that having people with you who know you and see your emotions is important since they'll be those who remind you What are you concerned about?
