April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) started her musical journey as a 7th grader when she started guitar and piano lessons. At the age of 12 when she wrote her first single, Different. She spent lots of the time of 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. After a while, she began traveling with her father and write in NY and LA. April started to incorporate other relevant topics into the"Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with a growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership in addition to being a lifestyle expert. She was born without a left hand. This is what makes her different. But this isn't the only thing about her. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't ignore her being disabled however, it doesn't focus on it. What message is it sending? It's crucial to understand that each of us has multiple faces. Our identities vary and we're beyond our body. Lockhart has stated on video that she doesn't wish to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't want to be a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are many aspects of Lockhart. The issue doesn't affect my everyday activities. I carry on the same way as I always do and have developed my own ways to adapt. It's also part of me so I think it's important to talk about. Self-acceptance is a long marathon however Lockhart is an absolute inspiration for this aspect. Still she admits she's gone through periods of being uncomfortable with her body at times being unsure about wearing certain types of clothing showing the arms of her. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post images of her outfits to social media with pride. The journey itself is the key thing I'm not certain that you ever arrive she says of self-love. It's a journey, I'm sure that you never get there. The people around you with that truly understand you, and can see inside your soul are the ones you should be relying on to help you remember what you're concerned about.
