April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4th, 1995. At the age of seven she started to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion for music writing. At the age of 12 April composed her first single Different. At the age of 14, April devoted a great deal of time in writing songs and practicing her musical skills. In the following years, she began taking journeys to write with her father in NY or LA. April started to include other subjects in Take My hand for her pals who were struggling issues with bullying, disabilities or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart collaborates with the well-known clean beauty brand Ilia and is also an influencer in the lifestyle industry with an increasing following of her own. The truth is that she was born with no left hand. This gives her a unique look. However, this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart isn't shy about mentioning her disability in her Instagram profile, but she doesn't place it in the spotlight of the account. The message? The message is that we are more than the physical person we are. Our identities are complex and we contain many different factors. Lockhart declared in video form she does not wish to be defined by her physical disability. The woman doesn't intend to become an advocate for disabled people who only speaks about it. There are many different aspects to Lockhart. My daily routine isn't dependent on it. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to problems. It's a huge element of my life and it's imperative to discuss the subject. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is truly an inspiration in this regard. Still, she admits going through a series of phases with regards to her body. She felt uncomfortable in certain clothing which showed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses what she's comfortable in and post photos in those outfits to social media with pride. Self-love, she explains, can be described as a trip. "I believe that you will ever be in that place," she said. This applies to everyone regardless of levels of anxiety. It's important to have people around you who are aware of and appreciate you. They will be able to remind you about the issues you're concerned about.
