Katherine Heigl speaks with the world on her "white bubble life" and how it has affected her parenting style for her adopted multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" spoke to the media that it didn't matter what color her skin was for her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted sister, she realised the distinction between how others treated her and her. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated one way while out in public with our parents, and another way when she went out on her own without anyone else. She responded "Oh yes! All the times!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I made me feel." She said that she was frustrated however she was also aware of that she had to channel this anger to support her children. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old husband, Josh Kelley. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. then Adalaide aged 8 who is now old and is Black as of 2012.
