Jenna Fischer was best known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. The role she played has earned her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. In addition, she won two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on an ensemble cast in a comedy.
She was raised primarily within St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched as her mother Anne performed in church plays. The passion for performing and theater began at a very young girl.
Fischer is an actress with the theater background. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. She went on to star at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run in The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's closest friend from real life and Fischer began the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf at the end of October 2019. The show quickly was a hit. Every week it ranked in the Top Ten in global downloads and had more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She's published two books, The Actor's Life A Survival Guide that outlines her path to Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were There, a memoir of the best friendship they had and their experiences in The Office.
